Brace Fitting & Splinting

therapist adjusting leg brace

After an injury or surgery a brace or splint is sometimes necessary. Splints and casts support and protect injured bones and soft tissue, reducing pain and swelling. Using braces, splints or casts may improve joint mobility and stability as well as improve function of the injured area. Braces can compensate for muscle imbalance.

Some braces come with adjustments that you can change as you progress through your treatment. While splints and braces are sometimes a vital part of the recovery process, it’s important to know that they are generally used in tandem with a physical therapy program, and not a treatment by themselves.

Our Therapists can custom fit braces and splints to make your road to recovery more comfortable.
